Children of Incarcerated Parents

On June 12, 2013, the Federal Interagency Working Group on
Children of Incarcerated Parents (COIP),
led by the White House Domestic Policy Council (DPC), officially launched its website.

Service providers, families, and caregivers can access information and tools for better supporting the needs of Children of Incarcerated Parents, and follow the federal government's efforts regarding improving outcomes for this population.

The incarceration of a loved one can be very overwhelming for both children and caregivers. It can bring about big changes and transitions. In simple everyday ways, you can comfort a child and guide them  through these tough moments. With  love and support they can get through anything that

comes their  way.
