Ordinary activities, such as outdoor recreation, sporting and social entertainment events or even trips to the dentist for people with developmental disabilities are often rare, extra-ordinary occurrences.
Special Day Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Sarasota, Florida, provides opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities to experience the physical, therapeutic and social value of nature-based recreational activities and specialized dental care.
SDF is uniquely situated among the region's foundations because of its founders' long time involvement with special needs people.
