Description:
Providers will participate in a 45 to 60-minute interactive guided training on home safety on board the Injury Free Mobile. Training will be available at various service sites throughout the County and over the course of the contract period starting as early as October 2011. Topics covered include identification of the following risks and action steps for prevention: poison, choking, suffocation, burns, strangulation, falls, supervision, and gun violence.

PROJECT RIDE

(Recreation, Independence, Development, Equipment)

 

Project Ride provides a modified tricycle for children with special needs who would not otherwise have an opportunity to ride a bike.


WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Children with special needs, ages 6-17, living in South Florida. Each child needs to be able to pedal and steer a bike independently
