2012 SAFETY AWARDS
On April 7, 2013, our annual safety awards were presented to honor and recognize the achievements of "Team Heaton" for the year 2012. Our program was created seventeen years ago to track the safety performance of our employees, and provide a means of recognition on an individual and company wide basis. Our award criteria is very stringent and therefore winners each year have attained a high level of safety excellence. Many of our employees have been accident free for several years, as evidenced by the award levels. To provide a perspective of this accomplishment, an employee must work a minimum of five years without ANY incidents to qualify for the 10,000 hour award. We are very proud to announce the annual award winners. Please extend your congratulations to them as you see them on your jobsites or projects.

2012 SAFETY EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Alvin Hancock, our 2012 Safety Employee of the Year. Alvin began his career at Heaton in 2000, driving tractors and trucks in our fleet. He had no prior experience in the crane industry, but had a desire to learn and advance to the position of operator. Alvin began our in house training and advanced from driver, to oiler, to small crane operator. Over the years he advanced in his skills and professionalism, and eventually became a CCO certified hydraulic operator. Alvin has been one of our large hydraulic specialists for several years. He has over 7500 hours accident free with Team Heaton. We are proud to honor Alvin Hancock for his contributions and commitment to our safety program.

HEI Safety Director
We are pleased to introduce our new Safety Director, Josh Snead, who joined HEI on January 1, 2013. Josh replaces Bobby Merkison, who retired from Heaton after 22 years of service. We are excited about the enthusiasm and skills that Josh brings to Team Heaton. He has over ten years of construction industry experience, and has a true passion for safety. Josh is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and is using that expertise to take our safety program to the next level. NCCCO

We are proud to announce that we have been honored by the National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) for inclusion in their Committed to Crane Safety Employer Recognition Program. This program was created to recognize the time, effort, and dedication to safety that employers demonstrate by certifying their crane operators, signalpersons, and riggers through NCCCO. Companies that participate in this recognition program enhance their standing by demonstrating to their clients, potential clients, and employees that safety through CCO certification is a priority. We are one of only 40 companies nationwide to receive the recognition. Our commitment to certification and the safety of our industry is one of the core principles of our corporate mission. Congratulations to all the talented members of Team Heaton!
