Local Christmas Auction to Host Almost 1,200
This Friday, 12/06
Right to Life of Central California, one of the largest pro-life groups in the country, will present its 25th Annual Christmas Dinner and Auction this Friday, December 6th. Held once again at the Ernest E. Valdez Hall at the Fresno Convention Center, this event is the largest Christmas party in Fresno with over 1,100 guests attending last year.
This year's event will be the largest in Right to Life's history. "We are humbled but encouraged by the level of support from our friends in the San Joaquin Valley," said Jonathan Keller, Right to Life's Executive Director. "As we conclude our 26th year of ministry, we are excited about our mission to engage, equip and embrace."
Virginia Dalena, this year's auction chairperson, is very thankful for all the amazing volunteers and nearly 1,200 guests that will be attending the evening function, "Silver Bells." People can find out more by visiting Right to Life's website at www.RightToLifeCA.org.
This year's honorees are Brent and Patty John. Brent and Patty have been active with Right to Life for several years, with Patty serving as one of RLCC's pro-life liaisons at her home parish, Holy Spirit Catholic Church. They have also been instrumental in launching "St. Gianna's Center," a pro-life prayer ministry office located directly across the street from Fresno's Planned Parenthood abortion facility at 650 North Fulton. Both Brent and Patty worked tirelessly to renovate this building, and it now serves as a consistent prayerful presence to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies, as well as a beacon of hope and forgiveness to those working in the abortion industry.
Founded in 1987, Right to Life of Central California has grown to be one of the largest grassroots pro-life organizations in the United States. Their mission is to Engage their community by presenting the pro-life position with clarity and compassion, Equip advocates to defend the sanctity of all human life through effective tools and training, and Embrace individuals facing an unplanned pregnancy and those hurt by abortion. They primarily serve Fresno and Madera counties and extend their reach across the country through their weekly radio and television program "Life Report." Other outreaches include their "40 Days for Life" prayer vigil and educational displays at Fresno State and Fresno City college campuses.
