Local Christmas Auction to Host 1,000 on 12/7

Right to Life of Central California, one of the largest pro-life groups in the country, will present its 24th Annual Christmas Dinner and Auction next Friday, December 7th. Held once again at the Ernest E. Valdez Hall at the Fresno Convention Center, this event is the largest Christmas party in Fresno with over 1,000 guests attending last year.

This year's honorary chairperson is Deacon Bill and Betsy Lucido. The entire Lucido family has been active in pro-life causes. While their four daughters were still living at home, the family welcomed 28 unwed mothers into their home through Infant of Prague Adoption agency. They provided a safe, warm and comforting environment to these young ladies during their pregnancies, offering guidance, support and friendship. Most of the babies born to these young ladies were given up for adoption. Betsy currently serves on the boards of both the Infant of Prague and Right to Life of Central California.

This year's event will be one of the largest in Right to Life's history. "We are humbled but encouraged by the level of support from our friends in the San Joaquin Valley," said Jonathan Keller, Right to Life's Executive Director. "As we conclude our 25th year of ministry, we are excited about our mission to engage, equip and embrace."

Local pastor Jim Franklin of Cornerstone Church is one of Right to Life's long-time supporters. "Now is the time to support Right to Life's work in Central California as a testament to our valley's belief in the sanctity of all human life," Franklin said.

Virginia Dalena, this year's auction chairman, is very thankful for all the amazing volunteers and 1,000 guests that will be attending the evening function, "Follow the Star." People can find out more by visiting Right to Life's website at
