Fellow Carver,
Ice Carve Pro CNC machines now have the option of using a spindle. Spindles outperform routers in function and longevity. Countless carvers have asked me if adding a CNC was a good idea & I always seem pose the same question as a response- Let's assume the CNC will be garbage after 10 years (it won't, but let's assume that for the sake of my question). If a highly skilled logo engraver stopped by your shop and asked to engrave every one of your logos, sorbet dishes, centerpieces, & seafood tables, All he/she asks for is $90/month , what would you say? If you think $90/month is well worth it, then a CNC should be in your near future. The Ice Carve Pro 1000 costs $10800, that breaks down to $90/month over 10 years. More info on CNCIf $90/ month seems too steep, then your sales haven't matured enough yet, but don't worry they will & you will know when it is time!!
