Ottawa Canada hosted 3 ice carving competitions. (so, the next 3 emails will be dedicated to Ottawa)  See more photos of the single block challenge by following this link.  Artists were given 1 block and 2 hours.

Funny side note- I didn't read the information thoroughly and inadvertently violated the 48" height limit resulting in a disqualification.  That wasn't a typo, the height limit really was 48"
