Presents:

Gun Safety!

National surveys show that nine out of ten RV'ers travel with firearms. If you are traveling with guns on-board, it is your responsibility to abide by the Federal laws as well as the individual laws of the states where you travel, and in some cases, the local laws from town-to-town. And don't forget the policies and rules of the parks where you over-night! Do you believe your RV is your home-on-wheels and exempt from the law? This class will clear up this myth and many more.

Grilled Pizza with Pesto, Tomatoes & Feta

Keep the kitchen cool, by baking pizza on the backyard grill. For convenience, this recipe uses prepared pizza dough, found in most supermarkets, and pesto from a jar.

Makes: 4 servings

Active Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound prepared pizza dough, preferably whole-wheat
  • 1/2 cup prepared pesto
  • 4 ripe plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves, torn

This recipe calls for:

Preparation

  1. Heat grill to medium-high.
  2. Meanwhile, place dough on a lightly floured surface. Divide into 4 pieces. Roll each piece into an 8-inch round crust, about 1/4 inch thick. Place crusts on a floured baking sheet. Carry crusts and toppings out to the grill.
  3. Lay crusts on grill (they won't stay perfectly round). Cover grill and cook until crusts are lightly puffed and undersides are lightly browned, about 3 minutes.
  4. Using tongs, flip crusts. Immediately spread pesto over crusts. Top with tomatoes. Sprinkle with feta and pepper. Cover grill and cook until the undersides are lightly browned, about 3 minutes more. Sprinkle with basil and serve immediately.

Manager's Corner

 Hey Everyone!

Hope all of you had a safe Memorial Day Weekend. We thank all of you who came and spent this time with us here at Wine Country RV Park!

Summer is fast approaching and I am sure everyone is looking forward to taking vacations and weekend getaways. June is a fantastic month to visit Prosser, with the wineries going strong and with the Scottish Fest & Highland Games, it is definitely a great experience if you haven't had the opportunity to witness it! We still have some sites available for that weekend, June 14-16. Hurry and make your reservations because you won't want to miss out on the fun.

And for those wanting to come visit us on the 4th of July, we are getting close to full. Prosser has a great small town Fourth of July celebration with a carnival and other events happening all day, topped off with a firework display at night. So pack up your rigs and come join us!

Safe Travels,

Nick
