Hi-I'm Sedona!  I am a fun-loving 4 year old girl looking for my forever home! I was found as a stray and have been staying at Second Home Pet Resort until I can find a family to call my own. I am very sweet with a lot of personality; I really love being outside so you will be able to take me along on walks and hikes! But don't worry; I also enjoy being a couch potato, especially if it includes belly rubs.  I can be a little shy with new people, but spend some time with me (while giving me some treats) and I will be your best friend.  I have made quite a few doggie friends here and I've learned that I get along with calm, social dogs the best.  I would do well in a home with older or no children, because to be honest I want the attention all to myself. I just know once you get to know me you will fall in love with my amazing personality!  Stop by and visit with Sedona anytime.

 Hi-I'm Utah, Sedona's best friend!  I am a sweet, 4 year old boy looking for my forever home. I was found in South Phoenix and Second Home Pet Resort staff has been taking care of me ever since! When I was found, I had Valley Fever (a condition that comes from plant spores in the dirt) and was very skinny. Since then, I have put on quite a bit of weight and I am feeling so much better. I am not neutered yet, but don't worry, I will be before I come home with you! At first, I was very scared and shy, but I have been working with a dog trainer for the last year and I have become more social. I am still a little shy with new people, but don't worry, give me some treats, spend a little time with me, and I will be your buddy before you know it! My trainer says I am smart and a fast learner, yet still I am a work in progress. However, she would be more than happy to help the family who adopts me. She is going to continue working with me, until I get adopted, on being more social along with learning basic manners. I would do best either as an only dog or with a very social, calm dog, preferable my size or smaller. I would also do best in a home with older or no children. Most of all, I need a family that will be patient with me while I adjust to my new home and will continue to help me learn. I enjoy the simple things in life, like going for walks, lying out in the sun, and enjoying Kong toys stuffed with peanut butter. I just know that if you spend a little time getting to know me you will see that I really am a great catch!  Please come by and ask to meet me next time you visit Second Home Pet Resort.

 Pets in emergency situations benefit from onsite fundraiser 

The Fetch Foundation event held at Second Home Pet Resort on March 9 was a great success. They raised a lot of money and also raised money for 10 Fido Bags, which include, a pet oxygen mask, burn sheets, bandages, protective restraints, and rinsing saline. The Fido Bags are then donated to the Phoenix Fire Department to help them save pets in emergency situations. We had a great turnout, and several dogs were adopted to their forever homes! Thank you to everyone who participated.
