(France) Pamplune Grapefruit Peach Rose NV (open to taste)

This Rose is going to end up being one of the best selling wines in the store!

The French have a long history of blending their dry wines with fresh juice or fruit liqueurs also knowns as kir. More recently, a new summer drink became very popular among French restaurants, bars and outdoor cafés consisting of a blend of dry rosé with fresh squeezed pink grapefruit. This refreshing wine cocktail quickly became available pre-mixed in the bottle, to reach a 30 Millions bottles sold annually. Classic Mediterranean varietals are fermented in stainless steel tank and then blended with natural extracts of grapefruit from the pomelo variety.

This wine inspired from the Provence style has a light pink color but offers very expressive aromas and flavors of citrus, roses and exotic fruits such as lychees. It is light. slightly sweet as it haswith Peach & Grapefruit flavors added. Lovely aromatics and a refreshing, juicy midpalate. and refreshing with only 8.5% alcohol. Great wine to enjoy as an aperitif preferably outdoor: poolside or on a rooftop. It pairs very well with spicy food or could be used in addition to summer cocktails such as a Grapefruit Spritz or simply poured over ice in a wine glass.

Vino Verde means green wine as in young and refreshing! This bargain white is a warm weather favorite! It has a gorgeous water white color, a light frizzante tiny bubbles. Rubus is a private label created and used by Kysela Pere et Fils, LTD in order to buy, bottle and market wine found at an incredible quality/price ratio. Over the past few years, Rubus has become an international brand, encompassing wines from various continents. All Rubus wines are selected by Fran Kysela MS.

(Australia) Rubus Proprietary Red 2014

Many of you have had some of the amazing Rubus before.  This is an incredible wine value! One of the best Red blends we have tasted at this price point in a long time! Deep, dark ruby color, aromas of blue fruits, confectionery and subtle licorice characters, thick luscious palate with good structure and soft finish. Drink now to 2018.

The Blend is 44% Rubired, 31% Durif and 25% Shiraz. Rubired is a cross between Tinto Cao and Alicante Ganzin (which is itself a cross between Alicante Bouschet and Aramon Rupestris Ganzin). It is known for being particularly adapted to the hot climate and producing dark wines, as the color is not only coming from the grape's skin, but also from the grape juice itself. It was developed in 1958 by H.P. Olmo of the University of California Davis. Durif, also known as Petite Sirah, is also a cross of two different grape varietals: Syrah and Peloursin. It was created by French botanist François Durif in 1860 while keeping Syrah and Peloursin plants under the same roof; it happened from a natural process called "cross-pollination." The grape itself is known for its very aromatic, plummy character. Shiraz, which we all know for being the most recognized grape varietal of Australia, brings some minty, spicy and fruity characteristics to the wines.
