You want these wines!  Many of you have purchased previous vintages of these amazing wines and the new vintage releases are now available and all are outstanding as usual.  For those that are not familiar, Domaine Bila-Haut is owned by the world-reknowned Rhone Valley winemaker Michel Chapoutier. The estate is located in the Cotes du Roussillon of Languedoc, which borders the Rhone Valley and is planted with Grenache, Carignan and Syrah for the reds. Bila-Haut is an old vine estate that Chapoutier farms with biodynamic techniques like his Rhone Estate.  His dedication to quality is evident and we are excited to again offer these 4 amazing wines to you.  Scroll down for the tasting notes and ratings.

Finishing clean and dry, it will be versatile on the dinner table, and should drink nicely for a year or three."

A tank-aged blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, it is medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and balanced, with impressive amounts of blackberry and currant-styled fruit, herbs, pepper and smoked earth aromas and flavors. Showing more minerality with air, it's a no-brainer purchase and will drink nicely for 5-6 years or more.  RHWG It is truly a spectacular red rivaling many of the top Rhone village wines like Gigondas and Chateauneuf du Pape. Robert Parker 94 Points The 2012 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem offers dark, mineral-laced aromas and flavors of smoked earth, licorice, wild herbs and blackcurrants to go with a firm, structured and age-worthy profile on the palate. Comprised of mostly Syrah, from schist and gneiss soils, and aged in tank and demi-muid, this superb 2012 has solid mid-palate depth, ample tannin and a beautifully focused finish. It's a superb value that will be even better in another year or so, and have 12-15 years of ultimate longevity.
