School Year Calendar Freebie
Updated for 2013 - 2014
I've been busy updating my freebies this summer, and I just updated my School Year Calendar for you. It's great for creating teacher plans and yearly timelines as well as scheduling student activities like Literature Circles.
After I created the color version with cute clipart, I created a black and white version and one that doesn't have any clipart at all. You can download the new calendar from the Seasonal Page on Teaching Resources.

My Best Sellers on DonorsChoose!
If you've received my newsletter for awhile, you probably know how much I love DonorsChoose. That's why I was excited when my publisher told me that my three best-selling books are now available on DC!
Writing a proposal for them is a little tricky, so I wrote a blog post with tips on adding teacher resources to your proposal. If you aren't familiar with DonorsChoose at all, you might want to start out by watching my DonorsChoose webinar that explains how to write a top-notch proposal and get it funded. Look for it on my DonorsChoose page.
Before you place an order this way, remember that DonorsChoose is not shipping out any materials this summer so you won't get the books until the fall. Also, you can't get the free digital book when you order a print copy through DonorsChoose. That deal is only available through Teaching Resources and my publisher's site.

Exploring Perimeter on the Way!
50% Off the First 24 HoursHave you ever had a project drag on for YEARS? I started writing Exploring Perimeter about 4 years ago, dropped the project due to other pressing concerns (like being a classroom teacher!) and I recently got back to work on it. I'm excited that it's almost finished! It's CCSS aligned, and I have a group of teachers working with me to field test the activities. It should be done by the end of the week, at which time I'll upload it to my TpT store.
The good news for my TpT followers is that when I first post any new item on TpT, it's 50% off for the first 24 hours! To be sure you find out when that happens, follow me on TpT and watch for the notification email.
