Happy Spring, or is it summer? Now that the warmer weather is here we see more people out in the various business districts shopping and supporting local businesses. We hope that everyone's foot traffic has picked up after the long hard winter.

The Chamber has been busy reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates for the Executive Director's position. The Board will send out an announcement as soon as the new Executive Director is hired. We want to thank everyone for their patience as we go through this process.

Thank you to everyone who has been helping behind the scenes to keep the Chamber running.

If you have anything that needs immediate attention, please feel free to contact one of the Board Members. View the list here.

There are lots of announcements in this month's newsletter. Read on to learn more.

Sincerely,
Arlington Chamber of Commerce

State of the Town
What Arlington Businesses Care About

In Case You Missed It......

The Chamber of Commerce hosted the "State of the Town" event at the Town Hall on April 15th. Chamber members heard from both the Town Manager, Adam Chapdelaine and Ted Fields, the Town's Economic Development Planner.

Read Your Arlington's article as reported by Bob Sprague to learn more.

You can view this event in it's entirety on the Chamber's YouTube channel thanks to ACMI-TV and Len Diggins who taped the event.

Shop Arlington
sponsored by the Town of Arlington
(not to be confused by Shop Arlington 1st)

The Town of Arlington Department of Planning and Community Development recently announced a Shop Arlington program taking place between April 16 and  May 19, 2015. The program was designed to boost shopping at local businesses after the long winter that was hard on Arlington's shops and restaurants. It's not too late to participate!

The Shop Arlington program asks customers to use a passport card when patronizing any local businesses. Send in your completed passport for a chance to win great prizes!  Learn more...

Thank you to Ted Fields, the Town's Economic Development Planner and his department for helping to boost more local shopping.
