Greetings!
The kids are back in school, cool weather has arrived and it's time to get back to business! Make the most out of your membership by registering for our upcoming networking events.
I hope to see you at Town Day this Saturday. If you don't have a booth and want to have some great face time with potential customers, sign up to sit at ours. Feel free to bring your marketing materials for our sharing table. In addition to raffling off a $50.00 Shop Arlington First Gift Certificate, we will be selling our new Shop Arlington First Tote Bags and raffling two tickets to the foodie favorite, Taste of Arlington. This year we have over 20 restaurants participating, along with several breweries and wineries. Buy your tickets by October 15th for only $35.00 and save 30%! After October 15th tickets are $50.00 each. Limited quantities are available so buy your tickets today!
Lastly, special thanks to member Tess Hartwell of Flavour Strategy for designing a new Shop Arlington First logo for us. In addition to being on our new tote bags, the new logo will appear on the new decals that will be distributed to all members next week along with Shop Arlington First guidelines.

Hazardous Waste Collection Day - October 16, 2013
For Small Businesses - Very Small Quantity Generators - VSQGs
Minuteman Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility
On Wednesday October 16, 2013, there will be a hazardous waste collection event set up especially for small businesses who are VSQGs, or very small quantity generators of hazardous waste. The collection will take place at 60 Hartwell Avenue in Lexington at the Minuteman Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection facility (www.lexingtonma.gov/dpw/hhwfacility.cfm). In order to participate, you must contact Seth Dawber from Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc (CHI) at 781-380-7121 or dawber.seth@cleanharbors.com. Mr. Dawber will tell you what time to arrive at the site and how much it will cost your business to participate. If the October 16, 2013 date is not convenient, then you may also participate on a residential weekend collection day: September 15, October 19, or November 9. Remember, you must preregister with Mr. Dawber first before you arrive at any of these events.
