Edgartown Backs Down
Edgartown selectmen remove anti-rights article from town meeting warrant.

Great news! We just received word that the Edgartown Board of Selectmen have removed the anti-rights article 50 from the town warrant, no reason was given. Thank you to all that took the time to contact them and took action and thanks to the Edgartown officials for choosing to protect freedom.

Hopefully Yarmouth will see the light and follow suit, see below

Here's an article covering the story.
Yarmouth Alert *Reminder - Town Meeting May 2*

New info:  The proponents of the anti-rights article have started a Facebook page , note that they admit in a recent post that there is no problem and no record of there every being a problem, yet, he wishes to pass laws anyways.

Please attend town meeting and stop this nonsense. If you are a Yarmouth/Cape Cod resident, please attend Yarmouth's town meeting on May 2nd & vote NO on the article filed which would force Bass River Club to cease shooting on club property, would make the lawful discharge of a firearm on private property illegal and would zone out hunting in many areas.

If you are a Yarmouth resident please attend the town meeting, if you know a Yarmouth resident, please let them know about this issue.

Big Bang Annual Raffle - Drawing Next Week!

As the sport itself, these qualities will stay with them throughout their lifetimes, helping each young athlete reach his or her full potential. * Our athletes compete in a centerfire and/or a rimfire division. Targets are steel circle or rectangular plates. All courses of fire are timed events. Click here for more information.

Last Word: Thanks for the last word!
Thank you Boston Globe for giving us the last word regarding John Rosenthal's smear campaign against GOAL and our members:

From last week's Friday News Email as seen in the Globe: "Stop Handgun Violence, with a long track history of sponsoring signs featuring outright lies, statistical manipulation, and provocative imagery designed to elicit an emotional response, was recently forced to find a new home for their false messaging," the e-mail said."
