When GOD says WHO THIS GUY IS...

We jumped into a powerful moment in Jesus' life and ministry here on earth. The big word that people use for it is the "transfiguration" -- when Jesus' Heavenly Glory shone out before three of his disciples. Mike McGinnis shared about this from the first 13 verses of Mark chapter 9. 

In our series, we've been uncovering the question about Jesus, "Who Is This Guy?" In Mark 9:7, the heavens break open and the Father speaks clearly about who Jesus is:

Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them,  
and a voice came out of the cloud,  
"This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!"
 
WOW. The secret is uncovered by the God of the Universe!

Matt Higby back from Atlanta

I went to Atlanta for five weeks of intensive missionary training (known as "Engage 5") at the Encompass headquarters. By God's grace I was able to train alongside Matt and Jen Daniels, my future teammates in Japan. We all learned many new things and I can speak on behalf of all ten missionaries that attended when I say our brains are still sore! My completion of this training was a major step towards getting to Japan as a career missionary!  Read more online

We had the privilege of graduating 8 students this summer.  We are so thankful for our time with their families and are excited to hear all the great things they will accomplish. As our children prepare to
