In a thick and challenging way, we examined the Parable of the Sower and Soils including Jesus' explanation. 
A few conclusions we made were:
- The Seed is the Word which is both Jesus and the Bible.
- The key to being good soil is faith in the unfaltering truth of God's Word.
- Fruit is actually an "edible seed packet" and it's purpose is to reproduce more plants to make more fruit!
- When we observe that parable of the soils we see that many Christians are stuck in the thorns!
"these are the ones who have heard the Word, but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful." -Mark 4:18-19
- As individuals truly believe:
- their lives are transformed by the Word
- they are used to plant more seed
- more good is brought into the world
- other lives are then transformed
- God's Word and God's Kingdom grow!
