 To wrap up our series on the Names of God Sunday teaching series, we went to the end of the Bible.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega,"
says the Lord God,
"who is and
who was and
who is to come, the Almighty.
-Revelation 1:8 NASB
In the final book of the Bible, Yahweh comes back to the name He wants to be called by... "I AM." If it wasn't obvious by how God is portrayed from cover to cover of the Bible, this verse says "HE IS, HE WAS, HE IS TO COME!" Certainly this is augmented by the name "Alpha & Omega." At the end of Revelation, the Lord comes back to it again: " I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end." - Revelation 21:6 NASB
