The Way

Heading into the new year, we kept learning about the Names of God, but from a unique verse:

Jesus said, "I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life." -- John 14:6

We often don't think of this passage as "names," but four names are in this comment:

I AM - there is no mistaking Jesus used this terminology to reference His being Yahweh.

THE WAY - This "name" is the answer to the question in the context. Thomas frustratedly quips, "Jesus, we don't know where you are going and so how can we know how to get there?" Jesus clearly give THE answer---you get there only because "I AM THE WAY."

THE TRUTH - Jesus is what is "really real." He is Reality and He created and sustains our reality.

THE LIFE - The opposite of life is death and we define is as separation from God. So Life is actually the connection to God! Jesus provides that connection!

Happy New Year from Junko Thank you so much for your prayers and support this year! We saw 3 people received Jesus as their Savior this year. And we also kept good relationships with new believers who went back to Japan. Now I have 3 Bible studies with girls and will start new one in January. Sunday Time Changes in Feb.

Starting February 2016 we will adjust our Sunday times and add a special relational time into our morning groove:

8:30-9:00am Coffee Fellowship Time

(on the Patio)

9:00-10:00am Family Bible Hour

(will end at 10am)

10:00-10:30am Coffee Fellowship Time

(on the Patio)

10:30-11:40am Worship Service

(starting at 10:30 sharp)

Help for Coffee Fellowship Time

Starting in February 2016, we will need some help for our coffee time:

1) Bring some Baked Goods: We will need baked goods (homemade or store-bought) every Sunday. There will be a clipboard on the patio for sign-ups each week beginning February 7th.

2) Be a part of the Team: We need folks who will set up, serve, clean up, or just hang out to encourage the Body!
