Christmas Celebrations
We enjoyed a special Christmas message about Jesus' name Emmanuel which dovetailed with our series on the Names of God.

The OT prophet  and the angel who appeared to Mary both emphasized that the name of the new born Son of God was to be Emmanuel which means God with Us!

"Because God's children are human beings-made of flesh and blood-the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death."  -- Hebrews 2:14 NLT

The Son of God became human so He could take our place and defeat sin & death.  But beyond that, He now is still present WITH US.

"I am with you always, even to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:20

God came into our world...and He has stayed present in our world!

Christmas Help for the Bashores This Sunday!
The Bashores just got settled in a rented house and need some things (remember they sold and gave away everything when they moved into the trailer).

Dave is driving the whole family to Long Beach this Saturday. They will be at church on Sunday. Then he drives back up to Idaho on Monday to work. With an empty car, he could carry items home if anyone would like to donate. Here is an unfiltered list:

Curtains, Shower Rod, Bookshelves, Washer, Dryer, Trash Cans, Strainer, Soup ladle, Cups, Tupperware, Queen size bedsheets, Queen size duvet (they have a cover).

Dollhouse Campership Raffle

An amazing Dollhouse has been donated to the church to raffle off for  Green Oak Ranch Camperships -subsidizing the cost for at-risk children to go to camp next year! Raffle tickets are available for a $5 donation each. DRAWING This Sunday Dec. 20th!

Cecil O'Dell Update

As we approach the end of 2015 we have seen God do many great things and seen many lives changed. With help from folks like you we are anticipating even more fruitfulness in 2016!

Help for Teachers in Chad 
 
Churches in the USA are partnering with the Chadian church to help start new Christian elementary schools and help their teachers get the training/ certification they need to lead those schools.  We are in an end of the year push to try to get the first 5 teachers into their certification program in January!
