We were challenged this Sunday in a couple of ways to truly follow Jesus. First by the lives of Carl and Julie Gaede. Carl grew up in our church, went to Biola and married Julie. They had a good life settling down in Wisconsin. Carl said that they traded in a "good life" for a "great life" as they followed the Lord's call for them to go to Uganda!
There in Uganda, they founded a ministry called Tutapona which means "We Will Heal" and is a trauma counseling ministry. This war-torn country has many broken lives. Tutapona shares how to cope and about our Christ with the broken. It is a beautiful picture of FOLLOWING JESUS!
