As we continued our tour through 1 Corinthians we came to a passage in chapter 7 where Paul answers some questions from the Corinthian church. These questions weren't easy ones.
We don't actually know what the questions were, but from the answers Paul gives he deals with some biggies: marriage, singleness, sexuality, divorce, believers, unbelievers and even children in the family.
Thankfully Paul answers these questions not only for the Corinthian church, but for us as well. Beyond the "specifics," the big idea of the end of the chapter is that God uses you right where you are! Your calling is to the place you are right now. Your situation may be difficult, but God is calling you to be His and do His will!
God wants to use you from the place where He met you. Won't you ask Him today, "God what are you calling me to do in the situation you have me in?"
