The Apostle Paul reminded the Corinthian church that when he brought them the Gospel at first, that he didn't do so in a "slick" or "manicured" way. Instead, Paul brought the Gospel in weakness...with only the power of the Gospel itself doing its work. And that power was GREAT!
Then Paul moved on to share about the "wisdom of God" that had been revealed to them as God's children. It is a "mystery," a "hidden wisdom" which only God can give. It can't be discovered or dug up, but only revealed by our God.
This hidden wisdom is really only found in weakness and reliance upon God. As Pastor Phil described it on Sunday, this "hidden wisdom" = a wisdom that recognizes the end of ourselves and fully trusts in God. When we get to that place of giving up on our efforts and to only trusting in Him....that is the place of revelation. The place of this wisdom is unique and special for the follower of Jesus.
This wisdom leads to an amazing place...
