BRING YOUR ANGEL TREE GIFTS THIS SUNDAY!
AngelTree
Give Joy to a Prisoner's Kid this Christmas.  When mom or dad is in prison, it's the children who do hard time. But you can let them know they are not forgotten. You can give them a gift on behalf of their imprisoned parent and in the name of Jesus.

We are so glad to be a part of the Angel Tree outreach this Christmas season. THIS Sunday the wrapped gifts are DUE!  We will be delivering these gifts next Saturday Dec 21st. More deliverers NEEDED.
If you can help, contact
our church coordinator Pete Anderson by email.

water for good
COMMITTED FOR GOOD!
This year tested our vision and determination when a rebel coalition overthrew the government of the Central African Republic (CAR) and Water for Good had to halt operations. We needed to replace critical supplies and rely on local leadership to restart operations. Our amazing supporters and the brave Central African staff rose to the challenge and Water for Good restarted operations in May. Marcellin Namsene, Water Program Manager, shared what it really took to get things going in this period-what it means to be committed FOR GOOD!
NEW MISSIONARIES
Bashores
David & Anne Bashore
New appointees to Romania!

"We will engage Romanians where they're at: the soccer match, the sports complex, the market, and in the community at large. We will share the love of Jesus with them in a way that attracts them to the good news, help them see God's love and plan for them, and equip them to make disciples of their own people. We will also partner with a local church to equip the established ministry to both Romanians and Roma and help it thrive.

How can you help?
Pray: for the peoples of Europe, for a movement of rapidly reproducing churches that show and share the Good News of life and forgiveness  through Christ, for more workers to lay down their lives for the sake of Europe. Mike and Teresa Friedman have information brochures with the Bashore family photo to share.

Give: For the next 3 weeks (Dec 1 - Dec 15), the Friedmans will be selling raffle tickets on the patio after service. Just in time for the holidays, you have a chance to win a beautiful Labor of Love quilt, or one of two stones engraved with "Agape" and "Grace". Tickets are 1 for $5, 5 for $20, 10 for $35, or 20 for $50.

MISSIONARIES OF THE MONTH:
RAY & CHAR HAUSER

How do you expect the unexpected when the unexpected is expected?
That was my opening "hook" last week when I was asked to speak for the Evangelical Women of the Chapel's (EWOC) Thanksgiving Celebration on "Praising God Through the Unexpected".  In a room full of young military wives, I used a picture of an older woman, in the winter of her life, looking into a pond which reflected a much younger woman, in the spring of her life.  That is how the older woman sees herself....younger, usable, relevant, a mentor, one of them.  We expect to grow older, but we don't expect to be unusable by the young, with nothing to offer from many years of life and experience.  I think we can put ourselves into that mentality by getting so focused on ourselves and ignoring others around us who want to be mentored but don't know how to make it happen.

God is taking Ray and I through some deep waters on this earth, but it is an incredible joy to be able to talk about the journey with each other and others and look towards arriving in heaven and living with Jesus for eternity.  We have Hope!  Yesterday was one of those "deep water" days as we kept an appointment at the local mortuary... PHILIPPINES: TYPHOON RELIEF UPDATE
Our partners in ministry, Dan & Tori Beaver to continue their ministry in the Philippines:

"Imagine vast stretches of towns and cities having been obliterated off the face of the earth.  A sight so devastating and unfathomable that one can not understand exactly the brevity of such destruction, until one personally beholds it . . .

Press on!
