Here's a CHALLENGE FOR YOU:

 

1) Ask God this question: What am I afraid of?

 

2) Write down what comes to mind

 

3) Then ask yourself:   If God is with me, why am I afraid of that?

Aaron Brake will be teaching a six week apologetics series from May 4 to June 8, Saturday mornings from 8am to 9:30am. The location is at Parkcrest Christian Church, at 3936 Woodruff Ave, Long Beach, CA, 90808. We will be meeting in the "Unplugged" building which is visible from Woodruff Ave. The series is for a Men's group that meets at Parkcrest, so only men are invited.
    If you are interested in attending please let me know and I will keep you updated of any changes. All men are invited so feel free to invite friends.

WORK MATTERS: A REFLECTION FROM BOB GENBERG   

My bedside alarm activates and Jackson Browne's "Before the Deluge" nudges me out of my slumber. I get up in a sleepy haze and get dressed for work. I gather my backpack, kiss my wife and daughters goodbye, and fall into freeway traffic. Another workday has begun and I'm on autopilot. LABS HELP US BY SHARING YOUR OPINION
 
Friends, we need your help. Many parents are looking for schools at this time of year, and we have only a couple of reviews on Google for our school...would you give it a glowing review?!?!?! Just a few sentences can go a LOOOONG way!   
OUR FOOD PANTRY NEEDS SOME FOOD!  

We are low on some items and could use your donations of:   

  • Canned goods
  • Personal hygiene items
  • Nonperishable food items
  • Household paper goods
  • Laundry detergent
  • Canned tuna & chicken
  • Lunchbox snacks
  • Canned spaghetti sauce
  • Pasta
  • Beans & Rice

Please put items in the Food Pantry basket on the church patio. If you have a need, please contact us in the church office (by email or 562-596-3358)
