JESUS ON THE ROAD TO EMMAUS
In another blessed Resurrection Sunday, we celebrated our King Jesus coming back to life from the dead! As we looked into the story of that climactic day, we took our Sunday message from Luke chapter 24.

In this chapter, on the afternoon of that first resurrection
Sunday, our Jesus caught up to two men walking home to Emmaus trying to sort through the events of the last three days. We went through a "ReTelling of the Walk to Emmaus."

At the end of that closer examination, we walked away with the following four items to take home:

1. Jesus is always close to us, yet we don't always see Him

In the same way that the men on the road walked for miles with Jesus and didn't recognize Him, we sometimes walk through life for miles and don't recognize Jesus in our life. He is always there!

2. Jesus has given us His truth in His Word

In the same way that Jesus described everything the men should have known about Messiah from the Scriptures, He wants us to know His truth by knowing His Word!

3. Jesus is our companion and fellow traveler

Jesus left glory to live on our planet. He chased down these two men on their way home to walk with them and to help them. He does the same for us. He chases us down to be our companion and fellow traveler!

4. Jesus is in the "every day stuff" with you

In this story, we saw the very basic stuff of traveling home and eating meals. Jesus was in the middle of that. He broke bread and ate meals and walked along the road with these men.  He does the same with us during our "ordinary, every day stuff."

Jesus is amazing...and worthy of our whole lives lived out for him. Won't you say to Him, "Yes, I'll follow you!"

Vidovich Family
SYMPATHIES TO THE VIDOVICH FAMILY
Our beautiful Erin Vidovich went home to be with Jesus this morning (4/4). Her final few weeks were spent with friends and family who loved her dearly and her final moments were very peaceful. We will all miss her tremendously but are so thankful that she is with Jesus, without pain and suffering, and able to eat, rest, and worship without any pain or sadness. Please continue to lift john, Matt, and Kyle up in your prayers as they grieve.

We will send memorial service details and needs in an email as details are put together.
