MINISTRY QUICK LINKS
BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
These words- strong and courageous seem to define the book of Joshua from the outset. God speaks them directly to his servant in very beginning of the book of Joshua.

We are endeavoring on a new series looking at the life of Joshua and the entire book. As we stepped into it on Sunday, we had to review a good deal of the back story. It was neat to have Phil string together the story in a chronological way.
Joshua Series
Joshua became the appointed leader after the baton was passed to him by Moses. Joshua was selected to lead the people of Israel into their Promised Land.

This was 40 years after he and Caleb had spied on the land wanting to take it with the Lord's power at that time. Unfortunately, the rest of the people of Israel sided with fear, and that lead them into their wilderness wandering over four decades.

Chapter 1 lead us to the precipice of stepping into the promises of God.  Joshua had to step out in faith into God's promises to appropriate them.

God has give us dozens and dozens of promises. We have to have the faith in the same way Joshua did to appropriate them to ourselves.
Won't you step out into God's promises...

LillyOUR SYMPATHIES EXTENDED TO THE NISWONGERS
Yesterday, we received the following information:

Dear Brethren Christian Alumni, Parents, Friends and Family,

It is with great sorrow that I bring to you all the news of the sudden and tragic passing of Emily Niswonger-Scott late Monday night. Emily is the daughter of our principal, Rick, and 6th and 7th grade teacher, Janet. At this time we take great comfort in knowing that Emily is now with Jesus. Please be in prayer for Rick, Janet, and the family as they deal with the sudden loss of their daughter, sister, and friend. The God we serve is the God of all comfort and we pray that his comfort and love will surround them at this time.
