Okay - now the results.
If you had mostly a's - you're the Fashion Resistant.
Fashion just isn't an interest of yours. As long as you've got something clean to wear every day, you're fine. Besides you're just too busy to go through your closet to see what you might need, let alone go shopping for it.
What does it mean? Don't worry about it! Bring in an advisor (a fashion-savvy, honest friend or better yet, a wardrobe consultant) to take a good look at your wardrobe and pull out what's tired, ill-fitting or in disrepair, and then make a list of replacement items. A wardrobe consultant can even take care of the shopping for you. Keep your basics in good shape, updating silhouettes/shades/sizes as necessary so that you always have clothes that fit properly and suit your lifestyle. Do this at least once a year - it's a no muss, no fuss way to make sure you always look your best with minimal effort on your part.
If you had mostly b's - you're the Fashion Curious.
You find fashion trends overwhelming but you do like to add in a trend or two that feel comfortable to you. You want to keep up with the times and look current, but you want to spend your money wisely.
What does it mean? You'll feel most secure incorporating elements of the trends that are more classic - those items that will tend to stand the test of time. You'll want one or two trends at most, and they will need to be in your most flattering colors so they work solidly with the rest of your wardrobe over a longer period of time.
If you had mostly c's - you're the Fashion Savvy.
You love putting together new looks and having fun with fashion. You absolutely love updating your look each season and have a strong sense of what you like and don't like...what works for you and what doesn't.
What does it mean? You're willing to be more edgy in your choices - willing to incorporate an eye-catching item or two. Compile your list of 'must haves' early in the season, staying true to what works with your body and your unique style. Snatch them up at 'pre-season' sales or at least early in the season to ensure you can find them before stock is depleted.
If you had mostly d's - you're the Fashion Renegade.
You love style for style's sake. You always look interesting and aren't afraid of taking risks. Your look can be overwhelming to others but not only doesn't it bother you, you almost always can pull it off beautifully. You'll incorporate the most outrageous of the trends - knowing that they will likely be 'here today - gone tomorrow' - but that suits you just fine.
What does it mean? You probably won't have much difficulty in locating your selected trends because there isn't as much competition at this level of trending. But, as one of the fashion-forward crowd you will, of course, have your items purchased early in the season so you can lead the way. The super-smart Fashion Renegade has her favorite consignment or Ebay store on speed-dial so she can quickly recycle those items she doesn't choose to keep as part of her collection.
Okay - which one are you? You might find you share elements
of a couple of these.
In my September issue, I'll share my top trends of the season
and show you how they might work in each of these categories.
