| 'Tis the Season! |
We hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We at ARB certainly did! ARB's opening of the 2013 Nutcracker season last weekend was a great success - from the sold-out closing crowd at McCarter Theatre Center and Robert Johnson's great review in the Star Ledger, to the elegant tea parties and boisterous alumni gatherings with faces from Nutcrackers past.
Today and tomorrow (Dec. 1-2), we're performing a special one-hour Nutcracker Suite at Hamilton Stage for the Performing Arts in Rahway - be sure to arrive early to see some surprises before the show! Then it's back to the full two-act show at Patriots Theater at the War Memorial (Dec. 8), the Algonquin Arts Theater in Manasquan (Dec. 15-16), and finally to State Theatre in New Brunswick, where we will be joined by the ARB Orchestra and the Princeton Girlchoir under Maestro Michael Pratt (Dec. 22-23). Don't miss it!
And while growing trees, falling snow and sugar plums are foremost on our minds, we're also gearing up for a thrilling spring season featuring world premieres of Douglas Martin's Rite of Spring (Stravinsky) and Romeo and Juliet (Prokofiev). We'll also be holding our Annual Gala this Spring on April 20, 2013 in New Brunswick, so save the date!
Visit our website galleries and Facebook albums for wonderful pictures from our recent events and performances...Please continue for much, much more...

Following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, donating to an arts organization may not feel particularly relevant. But in these times, arts can be a way to uplift spirits and provide hope where it may be lost. Your donation to a disaster relief organization provides food for the body. Your gift to ARB provides food for the soul. Both are needed. Your gift today brings to light ARB's vision:
TO EXCITE: audiences all over New Jersey with the exciting new repertoire performed by the professional dancers of American Repertory Ballet;
TO ENLIGHTEN: the students of Princeton Ballet School with the highest quality dance education in studios in Princeton, Cranbury and New Brunswick. This year, Princeton Ballet School's property in the Historic District of Cranbury required serious renovations. Your support would be very valuable in helping Princeton Ballet School defray the costs of construction.
TO ENTERTAIN: the young and the old with ARB's Nutcracker, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2013.
AND TO INSPIRE: all dancers, young and old, including those whose families can't afford to
pay for dance classes, and ARB's DANCE POWER students from the New Brunswick public schools.
...with the beauty and passion of dance. Your gift will brighten this vision for the 2012-2013 season.
