Note: There will be no registrations taken the day of the event. You must be registered before June 20, 2013 to attend this event.

This Bootcamp will cover industry-specific legal and business issues in the areas of film, music and digital media - including intellectual property and contract considerations. The speakers are actively involved in the industries they will discuss such that participants will gain an understanding both of how each industry works generally and how the more established industries are adapting to the challenges of the digital age.

Who Should Attend: This course is specifically for filmmakers, musicians, web designers, and anyone working in digital media. Attorneys interested in practicing in these areas, cultural organizations, and other professionals who represent artists should also benefit from this program.

Established in 1969, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts is the pioneer in arts-related legal aid and educational programs about the legal and business issues that affect artist and arts organizations.
VLA believes that individual artists and arts organizations deserve access to dedicated legal representation and advocacy to ensure that their voices are heard and that their interests are protected. VLA also believes that the arts community should understand certain legal and business matters to protect themselves and their work. To achieve these goals, VLA serves the arts community through Legal Services with MediateArt, Education and Advocacy.
