Lend a Hand:

Sometimes, we need a helping hand.   Sometimes, we are the helping hand.

UMF Volunteers!  We need you to lend a helping hand to the Helping Hands Warehouse on Saturday, March 7th.   Volunteers are asked to contribute new or gently-used clothes and help sort, fold and pack donations for distribution. Stop by between 2:00-4:30pm at 1650 Tropic Park Drive, Sanford FL 32773 to help!
Breakfast Club:
 The Birthday #Flowers

"They ask you (O Muhammad) what they should spend in charity. Say: 'Whatever you spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good you do, God is aware of it.'" - The Holy Quran, 2:215

It's Flower-February!  It was a great month at Breakfast Club with some fresh flowers distributed to the needy! Since moving to the public men's shelter, we have doubled our services to feed over 200 individuals per month.   Our birthday celebrations, together with the love of spending with a good heart, our volunteers make a difference in the lives of those who need it most!

We'll be serving at both the Women's Shelter and Men's Soup Kitchen in March to double our impact.  Join us March 21st at 9am

Your contributions are tax-deductible and offer a world of opportunities that make a huge difference. Thank you for being a special part of what we do at UMF!

Salaam Alaikum

The world seems full of bad news, most days. But even so, rainbows of hope shine through the storm with inspiring stories of random acts of kindness. That's how we feel when we look at UMF Hungerteam's volunteers. It's filled with the kindest people who come together monthly to help those they've never seen before, talk to them, and take on the responsibility of following up with them to deliver necessities they request. Just last month, a youth asked for clothes she could wear at school, and within the week, volunteers packed up and delivered 2 whole boxes of stylish gently used clothes. A lady who had recently moved out of the shelter, who was caring for her infant child and her old and ailing mother was delivered hygiene products, clothes and even mattresses and a crib for them to sleep on. With God's grace we have so many volunteers at Hungerteam now, that we have decided to expand to use both kitchens in the ladies shelter and gents soup kitchen and to serve there twice a month, inshaAllah! This is our chicken soup for the soul, marvelling at the godly, giving hearts of young and old who give up their Saturday mornings to serve.
