NEFA partnered with the Northeast Indigenous Arts Alliance (NIAA) to bring the region's Native Arts community together on April 9 at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. Thirty eight artists and cultural organizations gathered for discussion and updates on NIAA activities, including organizational membership and bringing the IFAM(E) (Indigenous Fine Art Market) to the region in May 2016, and NEFA's CreativeGround, and sharing resources in addition to highlighting the need for convenings and professional development.
