PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT - NEST

New England States Touring (NEST) provides grants that support the presentation of artists in performance and other community activities in New England. Who's eligible to apply? New England-based nonprofit organizations interested in presenting NEST-eligible performing artists. Search for NEST-eligible artists on  CreativeGround, NEFA's directory of the region's artists and creative enterprises. Performing artists who wish to be NEST-eligible can do so by maintaining a free artist profile on CreativeGround.

Wondering how to create a NEST-eligible profile on CreativeGround?  Watch the video or follow these instructions.

Read about the recent NEST grantees, and view the artist profiles on CreativeGround.

Want to bring regional artists to your community? Don't miss the next NEST Deadlines: September 2 & December 1, 2014.

PING PONG PUBLIC ART

On July 24, a few NEFA staff members and Fund for the Arts advisors attended the opening of Bounce, by Boston-based artist Liz Nofziger, on the plaza of the Boston Center for the Arts. Funded in part by the Fund for the Arts at NEFA, Bounce is an interactive outdoor installation made up of three conjoined, regulation-sized ping pong tables, custom-engineered to form an over-sized community ping pong court. Read more about the project's opening on NEFA's blog.

CENTER STAGE - UPDATED TOURS

Six more Center Stage ensembles - from Morocco, Pakistan, and Vietnam - will be touring across the U.S. from September through November, with several performances in New England. Fifteen performances were added to the tour calendar since just last month; stay tuned on the Events page, Facebook and Twitter as there are still some events to be announced!
