Dear Friends,
I was in Vietnam a few weeks ago, in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, where my colleagues and I met with artists and arts managers as part of planning for Center Stage U.S. tours in 2014. It was sobering and, as always, inspiring to see art being made and presented amid challenges different in many ways from those that U.S. artists face.
On the home front, NEFA brings to life two major creative economy endeavors this spring -- the launch of a new website CreativeGround and the not-to-be-missed Creative Communities Exchange (CCX) in Portland, Maine, in June. You'll find more on both by reading on, and you can access CCX registration and scholarship applications by clicking here.
As always, I am happy to share NEFA's 2012 Annual Report, a snapshot of stories, numbers, and beautiful images illustrating just how NEFA connects artists and communities, supporting and strengthening the arts in New England and beyond. I hope you'll take a moment to read it, pass it on, and let us know what you think.
Thank you for your part in the work we do.
Very truly yours,
Rebecca Blunk
Executive Director

CELEBRATING WITH DONORS & FRIENDS
| |
On March 9, NEFA donors and friends experienced NEFA's work in action through an evening of performance and conversation with NDP-supported Lucky Plush Productions at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. Watch what Lucky Plush Productions founder and artistic director Julia Rhoads had to say at the post-performance reception.
Thank you to all who came out to celebrate with us! View photos on Facebook of dance critic Debra Cash's pre-performance talk and post-performance reception with the artists.
