As a rep who called on designers, I quickly discovered how valuable space is in design studio resource libraries. I found that there were certain categories that designers were unable to resource due to logistics and prohibitive cost. I am speaking of area rugs and decorative carpets. 

Interior designers are often forced to go to retail rug stores and high-end carpet stores with their clients where they usually end up paying something close to retail. We also have a large inventory of small area rugs in mostly 2x3' sizes that match a range of stocked sizes that we will send on approval. In the 9 years that we have been doing this, we have never taken back a single rug because the color didn't match.
