FAITH-LIFT

The Gratitude Generator" (See Psalm 100)

On Wednesday during the windy storms the power went out. We were fortunate it came back on within minutes. I heard my neighbor's generator kick on during that brief outage. The generator supplies energy to the house when the power supply is cut off. Hmmm... This week's prayer focus is "Thanks." Being grateful and regularly praying "Thanks" is like a generator. When I lose strength, if my faith is struggling and I wonder if God is real or present - I can switch on a generator that replenishes power to my life and my faith. Praying "Thanks" generates that power. It can also make me more generous, so faith in God's goodness can spread. What are you grateful for? I invite you to spend today praying "Thanks" all day long. See what that might generate in you.

~ Pastor Jay
