Registration is going great! If you have not opened your packet yet in Ren Web, please do so and register your student. We are taking calls, giving tours, and registering new families, so we need to know if you will be a part of the school for next year. There is a lot of activity going on in the office - so be sure and get your registration in ASAP!

Sandra Roberson, Robin Parker, Justin Stephens, and Linda Rapp just returned from a two-day conference in Greenville, South Carolina, where they evaluated curriculum being considered to enhance Gateway Christian School. It was an excellent conference, and has given the team good measures to upgrade the current curriculum to make GCS even stronger in the future. We are exploring the possibility of utilizing the Bob Jones curriculum in some subject areas for the upper elementary and JH/HS.

GCS Teachers Ladonna Arnold, Jonathan Bush, and Shala Bush received the Teachers of Character award, and were honored at the 2015 Character Counts banquet in March. The award honors teachers who exemplify the six pillars of character for Character Counts: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

The annual GCS Work-a-thon will take place Thursday, April 23, 2015! This is an opportunity for our students to work in the community, and raise funds for the school. Previously, funds have been used to help construct the Science Lab, purchase numerous Smart Boards for classrooms, and many more projects.
After working in the community, students will return to the school for a hamburger lunch. Please feel free to come and join your child! School will be dismissed at 1 p.m.

Senior Missions Trip
|
The Senior class will travel to the Dream Center in Los Angeles, CA, April 12-19. Our students will be going on a mission trip for their senior trip to minister in Los Angeles - they will conclude the week with Disneyland. Please be in prayer for them as this will stretch our seniors spiritually and emotionally, but God has big plans for this group of kids and our sponsors!

April 21 ~ 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
All the teachers and staff will be working at McDonald's (the new location by Walmart) on Tuesday, April 21! GCS will receive 20% of the profit made during those two hours for the school in Uganda that we have been supporting for the last 5 years!
This will be a fun night, and all students and families are encouraged to have dinner at McDonald's that evening for a good cause! The teachers and staff will be cooking, serving and greeting.
