CONSTRUCTION ALERT
 
REMINDER: Full Closures of Eastbound 91, Weekend of Sept. 9-11 - Avoid the Area
  • Closure 1: At the 15 - Friday, September 9, 11:59 pm to Saturday, September 10 at 9 am
  • Closure 2: At Maple Street - Saturday, September 10 at 10:30 pm to Sunday, September 11 at Noon 
As part of the Riverside County Transportation Commission's (RCTC) 91 Project, there will be two full closures of eastbound 91 in Corona the weekend of September 9-11. Eastbound motorists are strongly urged to avoid the area and use eastbound 60 to southbound 15 to access the 91. Please see the map below for the closure areas. 

Motorists should allow extra travel time, carpool, ride Metrolink, consider postponing eastbound 91 travel to the afternoon hours, follow detour routes, and check real-time traffic information using IE511.org. Activities will include:
 
Closure 1: Full Closure of Eastbound 91 at I-15 for Connector Bridge Concrete Pour: Friday, Sept. 9 at 11:59 pm to Saturday, Sept. 10 at 9 am
 
Closure 2: Full Closure of Eastbound 91 at Maple Street for Bridge Demolition: Saturday, Sept. 10 at 10:30 pm to Sunday, Sept. 11 at Noon
 
Detours:
  • During these closures, motorists are strongly urged to avoid the area and use eastbound 60 to southbound 15 to the 91.
  • For Closure 1, motorists will be directed to southbound 15, exit Magnolia Avenue, and re-enter northbound 15 to the eastbound 91 connector. The eastbound 91 to northbound 15 connector will be closed.  
  • For Closure 2, motorists will exit at Maple Street, turn left on Paseo Grande and re-enter eastbound 91.
  • Westbound 91 will remain open throughout the weekend during both closures.
 
Separate Eastbound 91 Express Lanes Work in Orange County Led by Caltrans and Orange County Transportation Authority: Friday, Sept. 9 at 11 pm to Monday, Sept. 12 at 6 am
  • As part of the 91 Weekend Shift, the eastbound 91 Express Lanes in Orange County will be closed for the start of repaving work, which will take place starting Friday night between the 55 and Imperial Highway. To learn more, visit octa.net/91weekendshift.
