The North Carolina Girls STEM Collaborative focuses on connecting programs across North Carolina that serve girls to resources, professional development, and collaborative and grant opportunities to further the development, reach, and awareness of each program to its full potential, through the National Girls Collaborative Program Directory, the direct connections of statewide leadership team and champions board members, and by holding mini-grant opportunities. NCGSTEM provides substantial awareness throughout the state of the documented disparities in the number of females and males participating in STEM careers through statewide and national collaborative newsletters, networking and speaking opportunities with stakeholders, and dissemination of information from NGCP partners to the member programs in the program directory.

NC Science Festival

  • The North Carolina Science Festival is a multi-day celebration showcasing science and technology. The Festival highlights the educational, cultural and financial impact of science in our state. Through hands-on activities, science talks, lab tours, nature experiences, exhibits and performances, the Festival engages a wide range of public audiences while inspiring future generations.   • As part of the N.C. Science Festival, Carolina Biological Supply Company is sponsoring the Carolina� STEM Challenge Competition. This competition is open to middle school and high school science teachers and their students. The purpose of this Directory is to help organizations and individuals network, share resources, and collaborate on STEM-related projects for girls.

The Directory contains program descriptions, resources available within each organization, Program and/or organization needs, and contact information. Submitted entries undergo review and verification prior to publication.
