UPCOMING SHABBAT SERVICES

Purim

Our (Post) Purim Service

Saturday, March 2, 2013 @ 10:30 a.m.

Our March service will continue the topsy-turvy fun of Purim by celebrating it just a little late. Child care will include special Purim activities.

ContemplativeA Kiddush lunch will follow the service.

Contemplative Shabbat Service

Saturday, March 9, 2013 @ 4:30 p.m.

Shir Libeynu is happy to offer another contemplative service: an opportunity to enjoy some Shabbat stillness, and maybe even settle into a prayerful state, through chanting, silence and a little guided meditation. With any luck, a soulful time will be had by all. No experience with singing, meditation or even prayer? No problem! All are welcome. The service will again be anchored by Lorne Blumer, co-leading with Justine Apple, Helen Bauer, Harvey Weisfeld, and Penny Winestock

Please note that child care will not be available for this service. Announcement

Announcements at Services

As our congregation grows, our practice of inviting individuals to make announcements at the end of services has become increasingly unwieldy. In order to ensure that people can effectively share their interests, instead of oral announcements, space will be provided on a table in the kiddush room for flyers or brochures congregants wish to display, as is done at High Holy Days.

Please drop any materials off on the table opposite the door of the Kiddush room and collect any leftover copies before you leave. Advertised items are not necessarily endorsed by Congregation Shir Libeynu or its members and, in the event that materials pose a potential conflict for Shir Libeynu, including scheduling issues, you may be asked to remove the promotional material.

Services take place at

The Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre

750 Spadina Avenue @ Bloor and Spadina (across from Spadina Station)

in the Michael Bernstein Chapel on the 3rd floor
