Medicine Hat Commercial Property Tax Assessments

The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce is pursuing the issue of commercial property tax assessments and has already received several notices from our members about this topic. Property tax increases will affect both those that own commercial buildings, as well as those that rent or lease space.  Those that rent or lease may not be aware of potential tax increases affecting their property, however any tax increases imposes will ultimately be passed down directly through lease obligations or indirectly through future rent increases. Medicine Hat College students will continue to have an opportunity to receive a bachelor of education degree on campus, thanks to another partnership agreement signed with Mount Royal University today.
