Did you know the Chamber has a referral program that could save YOUR business money?! February is membership referral month, and if you refer a local business to the Chamber of Commerce and they join based on your referral, your business will earn a credit worth 10% off your membership renewal due in September! A referral of 2 businesses saves you 20%, 5 businesses saves 50% and 10 businesses gets you free membership next year! Everyone knows a business that could benefit from one of the many discount programs we offer, or could be a great supporter of the many advocacy initiatives we're involved in. Help strengthen your Chamber and your business community by referring a business today! Click HERE for the member referral form.

Over this last year the Medicine Hat College Trades Department faculty, staff and students with support from local business and industry, have installed two residential sized solar applied research projects here on campus. The Solar Thermal project produces hot water and the Solar PV project generates electricity.  Both systems will be used for instructional purposes in the Trades Apprenticeship and other program areas. These projects are also integrated into our College T-Wing domestic hot water service and our Student Residence electric utility.  On a limited scale, they will reduce our energy needs and utility costs . This green and sustainable technology will also provide the public and local business owners an opportunity to access information and build their confidence in solar applications. To support the use of solar in Medicine Hat, we are also monitoring and collecting the performance data produced on a daily basis.  This information is online and available to the public HERE
