Over the next year Connections Career and Safety Services in conjunction with Medicine Hat College Brooks Campus, will be offering three Government of Alberta funded training programs for eligible unemployed or underemployed Albertans looking to gain employment in the Oil & Gas, Oilfield Service, Construction, Transportation, and Agricultural industries. The focus would be for those entry level positions that would require a Class 1 or 3 driver's licenses, and/or various safety tickets. On November 20th, Chair of the Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce, Jason Melhoff, presented to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance in follow up to the Chamber's pre-budget submission in July of 2012. The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce presented, alongside five other panelists, with opening remarks followed by a question and answer period.
