Toyshop to open

This holiday season, step into a world of dance, music, and enchantment. The Portland Ballet and the PSU Symphony present John Clifford's Firebird and The Enchanted Toyshop. World-class choreography and exciting young dance and orchestral talent bring these magical tales to life.

For ten years, The Portland Ballet has been delighting audiences with a story of magic and romance in The Enchanted Toyshop. Now, paired for the first time with the classic Russian fairy tale Firebird, the show offers something for the whole family. With original choreography by John Clifford and live accompaniment by the PSU Symphony, The Enchanted Toyshop and Firebird kick off Portland's holiday season.

The Portland Ballet will perform six shows at PSU's Lincoln Hall, November 29-December 1, 2013.  Tickets are $5-35, including a limited number of Pay-What-You-Will tickets available at the door

($5 minimum, open seating). Tickets are available at the PSU box office or online. For more information, visit The Portland Ballet.

From Our Friends At
World of Smiles
Thankful Smiles

At World Of Smiles, Pediatric Dentistry, we just love this time of year! It may be rather clich, but we just can't help but take the time to appreciate all those things we have to be thankful for. We are thankful for the smiling faces of all of our wonderful patients, their families, and our amazing team. Family is especially on our mind with our own Dr. Ski welcoming her first child this past August! Plus, Dr. Stafford announced that she will be growing her own family with her second child arriving next April.

With all these new babies around we think it is a great time to remind everyone about the importance of the age 1 dental visit. We believe the purpose of a first year exam is to educate the parents and guardians on what is taking place in the mouth of their child, how to prevent cavities, what proper nutritional habits will keep teeth healthy and strong and what to do in case of a dental emergency. When the unexpected occurs you will want someone to turn to with compassion and patience for your child.

Another important reason to bring your child in early is to get them acquainted with being in a new environment. By bringing your child to the dentist every six months, it provides the child with a sense of comfort by being in a familiar atmosphere.

We are are also happy to offer complimentary dental exams for all new patients under 2.
