Family Fun BBQ and Open House

Join us for some old fashioned family fun, Portland style!  Get your kid's face painted, listen to some great live kids music, and grab a plate of food; it's all part of this fun day.

When: Saturday, June 22nd, 2013, 12-3pm

Where: 2510 SW 1st Ave, Portland OR 97201

What: Presentations, tours, food, music and fun

Welcome, Portland families and educators, to a place where you can learn to better nurture a child's whole being and help them more completely realize their potential - not just as a student - but as a human being.

Come learn and explore. See the updated classrooms, meet the Summa Educators in Training, and have a conversation with the Summa Academy Director!

This is your chance to come and spend some time at Summa Academy. Traditional education focuses almost exclusively on the cognitive/intellectual development of children - yet we intuitively know that a person is so much more than their book smarts.

Play, Smile, and Learn at the Goddard School

Why do children at The Goddard School look like they're having so much fun? Because play is the foundation of learning, and Goddard takes play seriously! Children explore learning centers; read in library nooks; and climb and run outdoors. Cheery classrooms and large playgrounds form the backdrop to a learning environment where children participate in enriching activities. Goddard offers programs designed to enhance the development of children from six weeks to six years of age.

The Goddard School uses the most current, academically endorsed methods  to ensure that children have fun while learning the skills they need for long-term success in school and in life. Their talented teachers collaborate with parents to nurture children into respectful, confident and joyful learners. Goddard's approach is based on research that clearly indicates the deepest, most genuine learning occurs through play and fun activities, lovingly guided by highly trained teachers.

The Goddard Schools are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The year round programprovides consistency for children, while half- or full-day schedules offer flexibility to families. To learn more, contact one of their schools below:
