Don't Miss These Upcoming Shows From Oregon Children's Theatre

Duck for President and Pinkalicious team up for a winning musical ticket this fall at Oregon Children's Theatre!

Duck for President
October 20 - November 4, 2012 * Newmark Theatre
He organized protests and taught the cows to type. He lobbied for vacations and won mooovie nights. Now he's running for the highest office in the land. From the same team that brought you Click Clack Moo: Cows that Type and Giggle, Giggle, Quack, Oregon Children's Theatre brings you Duck for President

Fed up with farm chores, Duck decides to challenge Farmer Brown to an election, only to discover that being in charge of the farm is hard work. So he decides to run for governor - and then president - kissing babies and hitting the late-night talk show circuit along the way.

With showy campaign numbers, barnyard election antics, and nods to famous presidential moments, you'll be ready to vote Duck for President no matter what side of the election you're on. Visit campaign central at www.duckforpresident.org to watch videos, and learn more about the candidate.

Pinkalicious: The Musical
November 10 - December 8, 2012 * Newmark Theatre
It's pinkerrific, pinkatastic, and back by popular demand! Pinkalicious: The Musical returns to the Newmark Theatre in November. Relive the pink pageantry, or experience it for the first time. You're sure to fall in love with the sweet story about a girl who eats so many pink cupcakes that she turns pink.

From Our Friends at Hi 5 Dental

Looking for a kid-friendly dentist? Look no further than Hi 5 Dental. Dr. Hai T. Pham, pediatric dentist, is a graduate from Oregon Health & Science University and completed his pediatric dental residency at OHSU/Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Dr. Pham has offices conveniently located in Aloha and Cedar Hills.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children see a dentist by the age of 1 to establish a dental home.  With the help of your pediatric dentist, children can start taking fluoride supplements by age 6 months. Fluoride can help prevent dental decay by making the enamel more acid resistant. It is recommended that you brush the child's teeth first prior to administering the fluoride, and then administer the fluoride supplement prior to bedtime.

If possible, try giving the fluoride several hours apart from products containing calcium (including milk and dairy products), aluminum, and magnesium-containing products (e.g. antacids and laxatives) which can decrease the absorption of fluoride, thus decreasing the effectiveness.

Please don't hesitate to call us at 503-642-1535 if you have any additional concerns or questions about your child's oral health.  At Hi 5 Dental we focus on creating positive experiences that will last a lifetime.

  • Halloween-y features such as corn mazes, haunted houses, and healthy trick-or-treating alternatives

In November & December...
