Christmas 2012

From our Music Director

Dear St. Patrick's Youth and family,

I want to let you know that the Youth Choir Festival for grades 6 - 12 sponsored by Choristers Guild is scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2013.  The rehearsal for that day is from 2 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The Festival Worship Service is at 7:00 p.m.  The location is at The Lutheran Church of Saint Andrew (15300 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD).  Our youth has enjoyed the event in the past, and I registered the St. Patrick's youth to participate.

I already have copies of music for them to practice.  Practice CDs will be available on Sunday, Jan. 6th.  I'll hold several practices after church services, and some Saturdays prior to the event.

Please let me know if you or your child is interested in participating in this event so I know how many copies of practice CDs to make.  I'll send the schedule to those who are participating.

---------------

We need more ringers in the bell choir!
I hope you had a nice Christmas.  Many thanks to those who participated in St. Pat's music program and offered beautiful music at our Christmas Eve service.
As we start a new year,  we need more ringers for the bell choir, so that we can use all the bells of our beautiful 5-octave set.  Please consider joining the bell choir.  Anyone from 4th grade and above are welcome!  Music reading knowledge is helpful, but not necessary.  I'm happy to train you.  We normally practice on Sunday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., from September to June.  We have a lot of fun practicing together and playing for worship services.  Please let me know if you or your child is interested.
      -  Mariko Hiller, Music Director  e-mail: marikohiller@gmail.com  Phone: (703)200-7489

May God bless and keep you, and may God grant us peace.

The Rev. Tinh T. Huynh

Rector of Saint Patrick's Church
