Bell Schedule
Foothill will have a different bell schedule next year. The start time of school will be 15 minutes earlier and lunch will be moved to after 5th period. All students will be required to take a 4th period class. The new schedule is attached. If your student indicated that he or she wanted a zero period on their course registration form, and would like to change that, please email your counselor.
Enrique's Journey
This summer, all Foothill students will read the Pulitzer Prize winning novel, Enrique's Journey. Students will have assignments and lessons associated with this novel when they return to school in September. The purpose of this is to increase the amount students are reading, bridge cultural divides and to provide the foundation for rich discussion on relevant topics across the curriculum. More information on this program is available by clicking here.
The EdFund has generously donated funds to purchase copies of this book for students this summer. Students can pick up this book starting June 15 from our library. This novel is also available for purchase on Amazon and other retailers. It's a great book and an exciting program for Foothill.
Device Collection
Students will begin to turn in their laptop computers next week. Please make sure your students bring their laptops on their designated day next week (click here for the schedule by teachers). If a student is taking summer school, they will still have to bring their laptop on the collection date to be checked in and checked out in one quick process.
We need parent help with device collection in the afternoon shift, 12-2:48 on June 8-12 & June 17 8am-12pm. Contact Patty Figueroa patie4@sbcglobal.net
