Dear Knights,
There are a few important dates to remember coming up for the rest of school.
- May 26 - Awards of Excellence - Don't miss the Awards of Excellence at 6:45pm at Calvary Church. If you got an invitation, you need to attend this prestigious night and be honored for all your hard work. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. McGinis in the Counseling Office.
- June 7 - Senior Reflections@ 2:00PM in the FHS Gym - This is a celebration of the senior class. Graduates will be in their caps and gowns, student speeches and performances will be made and it is an excellent time to get pictures of graduates on campus in their regalia. Families and friends are invited to share in this experience. All seniors are encouraged to attend Reflections with their families.
Reflections will be followed by Senior Awards at 3:30. Seniors receiving scholarships from community members will be recognized at that time. While it is nice to support all students, seniors not receiving recognition need not stay throughout this ceremony.
- June 8 - June 12 - Laptop Collection - If your laptop is broken in any way, please get to the library ASAP so that the damage can be identified and getting it fixed can happen. Fines will be assessed for damaged laptops. These fines will be treated the same as fines for missing library books or other school property.
- June 10 - June 11 - Senior Finals - There is a regular bell schedule on both days. Senior picnic will be held June 12 and the Disneyland Munch will be June 15.
- June 16 - Graduation Practice at THS at 1:00PM. This is mandatory for all seniors that are graduating.
- June 16 - June 18 - Finals for non-seniors. Finals will go from 8:00AM to 12:15PM on each of these three days.
Spring Sports
The spring sports season has almost come to a conclusion. We have one team left, our softball team, who will play a second round playoff game against Valley View High School on Tuesday at 3:15. Please come out to root on our girls.
Congratulations to the league champion baseball team. Although they had another tremendous season, they fell to Carter High School Friday afternoon in their first round playoff game. We are very proud of Coach Brown and the rest of the varsity Knights baseball team.
Marijuana Workshop
The Orange County Sheriff's Department is hosting a Marijuana Summit at the Orange County Rescue Mission on June 4 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. This is an excellent opportunity to hear about the new trends, risks and facts about marijuana and its impact on our students. Please see the attached flier for more information.
